On Saturday me and Ryan went to Rogers and built him a Build-a-bear for his knee surgery this coming Thursday! It is soo cute! Her name is Lauren Jr. (Ryan named her) and she is dressed in a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders outfit! I thought Ryan would need something soft and cuddly to get him through his ACL surgery! He really got into it and picked out the bear and everything! We had a great time as you can see from the pictures! Then we went back to Ryan's house and he made me Turkey Chili for dinner! It was soo good! I was really impressed! Don't you love cold nights and warm chili? Gosh I love winter!

O.A.R.

Last night O.A.R. or Of a Revolution was in town! Every semester we pay a certain fee to have a band come to our school and perform and this semester it was O.A.R. They are a chill, easy listening band (Nicki and Emily's exact words) and all of my friends went and we all had a great time! You may know their song "Shattered" it is pretty popular on the radio now!
We even went to Joses before and had some good Mexican food!!! Jill, Sarah, Heather, Brittany, and Maggie even met us before the concert at Joses! Oh and here is a pic of Emily and her first speeding ticket :( BOO! I know we were all very surprised because she is such an AWESOME driver!
P.S. Papa came home from the hospital and is doing well but still has to go through a couple more tests to figure out what went wrong but he is doing a lot better!
XOXO Lauren

PAPA TOOK A SPILL
This weekend me and Ryan decided to go home to visit mom's new dog Daisy and to have a relaxing weekend with family! On Friday we grilled out and then on Saturday, Mom and Dad had to go eat with their friends and me and Ryan went to our favorite Pizza Place in Mountain Home! Well after we got done eating we decided to go to Nana and Papa's house to visit them! We stayed there for about an hour and a half and had a great time! We left around 9:30 and about 9:45 I got a call from Nana saying "Papa fell and hit his head and there is an ambulance on the way." WHAT?!?!?! We had just left there 15 minutes ago! Nana didn't sound like it was too bad on the phone but when Ryan and I got there we were stunned! We saw the bright lights in the dark sky from the ambulance and fire truck as we pulled in their drive way and all we saw as we walked up to the door was Papa laying on the cement and a large pile of blood. I have never seen anything like this in my life! My Nana was pale and shaking as the EMT men tried to get Papa slowly strapped to a stretcher and Ryan was incredibly sweet and gave Nana his coat :) awww I have to admit I only looked at Papa once and when I did I saw blood all on his face and hands and shirt and it was just too much...On the sidewalk it looked like a murder took place. The only thing that gave me hope was that Papa was conscious and talking the whole time. They finally got Papa on the stretcher and we followed the ambulance to the hospital. We sat in the Emergency Room for about 3 hours waiting for word about what happened and what was the next step. We figured out Papa took their dog out to go to the bathroom before they went to bed and when he leaned down to take the leash off he blacked out and that is all he remembers. Nana was walking by their glass door and just happened to see him laying there and immediately called 911. Nana was so brave. She didn't shed one tear the entire time and that could have been the night that she lost her partner of 48 years...and they celebrated their anniversary last week too. Papa got 7 staples in the back of his head and as I am writing this he is still in the hospital. We still don't know what caused him to black out...and they are monitoring his heart and his back tonight and hopefully he will be able to go home tomorrow :) He swears what made him black out was the "goobers candy" he had at the movie they went to earlier and the ice cream he had when he got home! I hope that is the reason it happened and it isn't anything worse than that! I LOVE my PAPA soo much and I know he will get through this in no time! He truly does have a VERY HARD HEAD! I love him with all my heart...keep him in your prayers :)
