The day before Christmas Eve I decided to start a new family tradition! We were going to make homemade meatballs and spaghetti for Christmas Eve dinner! We decided to do this because it wasn't too hard and it was a dish that everyone liked! So I went over to Nana and Papa's house (they live a mile away) to make the meatballs with them and here are the pictures! We had a great time and their dog Oscar was the supervisor! The meatballs turned out delicious and I think we will do it again next year!
It has been awhile since my last blog post! I apologize as you all know the holidays are a busy and stressful time! I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy Birthday to Jesus as well! I had a very wonderful Christmas filled with lots of family including my Aunt Christina and Uncle Jay from Little Rock and of course my Nana and Papa! It is important to always cherish times with family because you never know when it may be your last. My Nana and Papa are getting older and unfortunately their are in a pretty fragile state with their health. My sweet, precious Nana has a broken back from a fall she suffered in the middle of the night trying to go to the bathroom and we are still trying to figure out why Papa fell not too long ago. Anyway, I am sooo thankful for everything God has blessed my family and I with and pray for those who may have had a difficult Christmas this year. God Bless Everyone and better times are ahead in the future.

About 2 weeks ago Ryan told me that we were invited to a special dinner at the Chancellor's house. He told me that he was a "special senior" that was invited and got to bring along one guest and of course it was me! I was so excited the Chancellor got a new house this year and it is absolutely beautiful! Well I was supposed to be ready at 4:45 and at 4:30 Nicki came into my room and handed me a present. I was confused but none the less I opened up the gift and it was a part of a puzzle piece that said...
"It is 4:30 now and at 4:45 a limo will be picking you up and will take you to the place where hello was made famous and Luke and TJ will be there and they will know what to do. PS wear your Kappa Sig pin"
***Ryan had pinned me almost exactly a year ago to the day***
My hands immediately started shaking...I had no idea what was going on! I thought I was going to the Chancellor's house!
So I finished getting ready and then I got a call from a man that said he was a limo driver and that he was at the library circle. So I hung up and walked out of the Tri-Delt house and there was a freaking limo! So I walked quickly across the sidewalk and jumped in! I knew exactly where we were going, the Kappa Sig house! So we get there and there are two of his friends, TJ and Trey and they help me out of the limo into the Kappa Sig house and when I walked in my eyes started swelling!!
There in the living room were about 10 of Ryan's fraternity brothers singing me a song! It was dark and romantic and there was a heart on the floor made out of lit candles.
After they finished the song TJ handed me the 2nd gift. I opened it and the 2nd puzzle piece said...
"I hope you enjoyed that! Now the limo will take you to the place where love was placed inside stone. Don't be nervous! This is the 2nd to last piece and I will be waiting for you at the Spoofer's Stone"
As I stepped out of the limo my stomach was in knots because every girl dreams of this day and I was completely emersed in the moment. As I walked away from the limo I saw Ryan through some bushes and there he was standing in a gorgeous suit by a table with champagne and roses right next to the Spoofer's Stone! I ran up there and the rest was perfect. He told me I was the most wonderful woman in the world and then he handed me the third piece of the puzzle.
It said "Will you Lauren Sullivant marry me?"
AHHH!!! I started jumping up and down and said YES!!! Then Ryan turned around and told everyone to come out and there were his fraternity brothers and Luke (Ryan's roommate) and Kirsten (Luke's girlfriend) they were videotaping and taking pictures of everything!!! YAY!!
And then Ryan told me we weren't done yet! So we walked back to the limo and the driver opened the door and there inside was MY FAMILY and HIS FAMILY! I started breaking down in tears...These were my favorite people in the world and I was so excited that they were there!! Then we went to Powerhouse and we walked to the back of the restaurant and there was a beautiful cake and all of my friends!!!! I started crying again!!! AHH!!
So then we took more pictures and it was the best time EVER!! I had NO IDEA and I was sooo thankful that Ryan took all of the time, money, and effort to plan the perfect proposal for me! I have very high expectations and he DEFINITELY met them!! Well we have no date in mind yet but as soon as we know I will blog about it and put up a countdown clock! LOL! I also put up pictures of my candlelight we had last night! Thankyou again soo much to our family and friends who were part of this special day. We love each and every one of you and we will never forget this!
